The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK) and its affiliates, one being the Columbus Area Community Foundation, are excited to announce the opening of the 2026 Scholarship Cycle, effective Jan. 15th through March 31st.
In 2025, over $265,00 was awarded to 101 Southeast Kansas students pursuing higher education. Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors and current college students. With 47 scholarship opportunities available between the foundations in 2026, there has never been a better time to apply!
“Helping local students take that next step toward their future is one of the most rewarding parts of our work at the Community Foundation,” said Kara Mishmash, CFSEK Program Coordinator. “By investing in these students, we are directly investing in the long-term vitality of the entire Southeast Kansas region.”
A full list of scholarships and their requirements is available at SoutheastKansas.org/Students/Scholarship. Scholarship applications are available online at SoutheastKansas.org/Scholarship-App. Applications close March 31st, 2026.
