2020 has been an odd year, to say the least, but the Columbus Area Community Foundation’s work has continued as a beacon of normality! Here is a look at the competitive grants and scholarships we awarded this year:

Competitive grant awards in 2020
The Community Foundation awarded more than $25,000 in competitive grants from the Columbus Operating Fund during 2020. These grants were awarded to the following organizations and projects:
- City of Columbus: Basketball court at the city park.
- City of Columbus: Farmers Market support.
- First Christian Church – Columbus: Columbus summer-lunch program.
- Quilts of Valor Foundation: Quilts for veterans.
- USD #493 (Columbus): Golf and cross-country programs.

Scholarship awards in 2020
During 2020, eight scholarship funds awarded nearly $10,000 total to help fund local students’ post-secondary education. Congratulations to all our scholarship recipients, and good luck with your studies!
