On October 2, students and adults participated in the 3rd Annual Community Day of Service. Just prior to Columbus Days, community members spent a portion of the day performing service projects.
Students from each school participated in a variety of ways including visiting our nursing homes, helping downtown businesses with improvement projects, and picking up trash on the highways. Some students worked in our local parks and around the square to make sure our community was ready to welcome the many visitors that would be in town the next weekend.
Businesses encouraged their employees to participate in activities, many during the workday, where they helped paint or performed many other beautification activities throughout the community.
